Molteni D.150.5

The D.150.5 relaxation armchair from the Heritage collection, designed by Gio Ponti and reissued by Molteni&C in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives, is one of his few outdoor furniture pieces. The elegant shape is based on an unbroken side line that connects all the parts – backrest, seat, armrests, and footrest – into a single whole. A characteristic feature is the gentle curvature between the seat and the backrest, taken from Ponti’s 1953 designs. Solid teak emphasizes the quality of craftsmanship, while cushions with a polyurethane core and a cover made from recyclable polyester ensure comfort and durability for outdoor use.
